After the devastation of Cybertron by the hand of the hideously mutated Thunderwing, the Transformers spread throughout the galaxy.
In time, Megatron developed his six-stages Infiltration Plan, a method to conquer inhabited planets and use the unwary native to reape the natural resources of their own world, stripping it bare.
During the early stages of development of this Plan, Decepticons infiltrated various alien world at a specific technological level.
Injecticon Venom was part of one of these invasion and adapted his form to local vehicles, assuming this new look.
And to think he had begun his life as
an Insecticon!
