During the Golden Age, Snaptrap used to be a mercenary, as per his Tech Specs.
Snaptrap met his downfall at the eve of Civil War, during the final events of SoD: Magnus.
Defeated but not dead, Snaptrap returned later with a new alt mode (amphibious tank) and a different Seacon line-up.
After the events that led to the Tyrest Agreement, Snaptrap was appointed by Megatron to represent Decepticon interests in the newly-formed Tyrest Corps, a super-partes organization tasked to enforce some basic war rules on the Cybertronians of both factions. Megatron chose him not only because Snaptrap is the opposite number of Ultra Magnus, but also because Snaptrap, with his warrior's honor code (shared by Razorclaw), would never try to seize the power at hand in the Tyrest Corps to stage a coup in the Decepticon army. Facts proved this theory to be true: Snaptrap is not interested in becoming a leader of mechs, and performs his Tyrest officer duties with great zeal. If anything, as Ultra Magnus pointed out, Snaptrap seems to enjoy enforcing law a bit too much.
me liiiiikey!!! Now I know another character I didn't know off before... thanks MASTER Canales! *bows* -- and he looks better than the original pink version XD
Haha, man, this is awesome, I've been working on a Snaptrap that's pretty similar to this for a long time now, would it be alright if I still post it, even though it's similar to your concept?
