SEEDS OF DECEPTION: BLASTER
ACT 1: FREEDOM OF PRESS
Page 2
Art by Dentyu
Story by Franco Villa
Project by Peter Istyle
Edits by Gregory Donaldson
NOTES
Cassettes! Well, so to speak: they are more "extensions", at this stage.
Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ravage and Frenzy. See their Tech Specs in the Seeds Of Deception universe.
Plus Eject (or is he Rewind) and Steeljaw.
Blaster's Cassettes do not have a Tech Specs file, for now, but some of them appeared (with an updated configuration) in The War Within: The Age Of Wrath.
Please note that Grand Slam, Raindance, Beastbox and Squawktalk are not shown among the "Cassette" Force.
For them, there are slightly different plans, as shown in Short Story: Dark Auspices.
They were part of the Cassette Force, during the early stages of the Missions, but they were already fully sentient, and could be deployed for more autonomous tasks.
Minions "inferior", Soundwave superior? A very obvious nod to TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE (1986).
Blaster's speech is reminiscent of Hi-Q/Optimus' in the immortal classic G1 Marvel US #76.
See the entire Blaster chapter in the gallery.

Kind of surprised Soundwave is so dismissive of his cassettes live; guess I’ve grown fond of his ‘ noble demon’ characterization that IDW went with.
