NOTES

Original (larger) art.

Springer art based on:
1. Don Figueroa's design for The War Within, vol. 1.
2. Don Figueroa's design for Stormbringer.
3. Nick Roche's design for Last Stand Of The Wreckers.

The "multiple bodyframes" concept, with all its boundaries/limitations, was designed to explain why certain characters change their look in our continuity. Springer is one of the best examples, especially since we wanted to include all the flashbacks of Last Stand Of The Wreckers in our continuity: his LSotW looks pops up before his Stormbringer look, and it really doesn't match with is War Within look... and so on.
Hence, the idea of having some specific Cybertronians able to revise their alt modes to fit a specific environment.
(Actually, we are not the first to propose this idea: see Maximum Dinobots).

Interesting! You know, I never really thought of this as being an actual "ability" some mechs posses. Triple changers and Six changers have always fascinated me with all their variations in their modes (Springer being an excellent case).

You guys always come up with some really awesome concepts you play with in your comics. :)

The more I look at this HUGE project, the more I just want to draw transformers and somehow become involved in SoD. XD It just seems so "unique" in the sense of all the gray areas you guys poke at and try to explore/explain. :nod:
I just wish I was better at digital drawing/coloring... XD

Really nice, love the work you guys are putting in... but does Springer not actually have his Stormbringer body during the Last Stand flashbacks?

Yes, but not always. In the related Mosaic, his flashback versions seems to be LSotW (or so we thought).

Yeah, in Dead Men's Boots, he has the Stormbringer body when he's recruited by Impactor, but not when he's recruiting the newbies.
