Continuing the prequel story of Arcee, based on Spotlight: Arcee by Simon Furman.
More about her in The Shape Of Things To Come and Short Story: The Beauty And The Beast.

A "Nekoid" is a "neko mechanoid", and "neko" means "cat" in Japanese (but we believe everyone knows this around here!).

Yoketron's school and Bludgeon as one of the students can be also seen in Short Story: Full Metal Contact.
Also, in that same Short Story Bludgeon loses his jaw.
Bludgeon's saga continues in Short Story: Proselytism and Short Story: The Balance, Crack'd - page 1, 2, 3.

Yoketron is based on Animated Yoketron, a character dubbed by the great actor George Takei!

The plot is also a nod to a Star Trek: Voyager episode (the one featuring Seven Of Nine forced to fight to the death in a gladiatorial battle).

"The Answer" is part of the collection of tales related to the Nova Prime age: see all of them (plus the amazing cover) in Special Story: The Evil That Mechs Do.

Actually no, he remains relatively undamaged at the end.
In the Notes, you can see a link to the story where that happens: Short Story: Full Metal Contact.
Also, Bludgeon's saga continues until he becomes the Stormbringe version of himself.
